No. Our skins are precision-cut to leave your card number, expiry date, CVV, and EMV chip fully exposed and readable. Tap-to-pay (NFC/contactless) and chip functionality are completely unaffected.

Our skins are 0.1 mm thin — roughly the same as a sheet of paper. You will not feel any difference in your wallet. They're made from flexible recycled PVC that moves and bends with your card naturally.

Every ShinySwipe skin features an iridescent colour-shift lamination — in certain lighting the surface shifts between gold, pink, teal, and purple hues. Optional premium finishes include Star Lamination (prismatic rainbow burst) and Shattered Glass Lamination (icy fractured-crystal effect). All finishes are scratch-resistant and waterproof.

1. Clean your card surface with a dry cloth.
2. Peel the backing off the skin slowly from one corner.
3. Align the skin over your card — the cutouts sit over your chip and number area.
4. Press firmly from the centre outward, smoothing out any air bubbles.
5. Done — your card is transformed in under 60 seconds.

The adhesive is repositionable during initial application — you can peel and re-align before fully pressing it down. Once fully adhered and left for 24 hours, it bonds more permanently. We recommend applying carefully the first time for the cleanest result.

If removed within the first 24 hours, it peels off cleanly with no residue. After extended wear, a small amount of adhesive residue may remain — this can be removed easily with a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth.

Shattered Glass Lamination is an optional premium finish (+$3.49) that adds a fractured crystal pattern over the holographic base — an icy, gem-like effect that fragments light into sharp, glassy shards. Like Star Lamination, it's available on any individual skin or any bundle slot.

Orders are made to order and printed fresh for each purchase. Production takes 2–4 business days. Shipping within Canada typically takes an additional 3–7 business days. International orders may take longer depending on your location and customs.

Yes, we ship worldwide. International shipping rates and delivery times vary by destination. All prices on the site are displayed in USD.

It depends on your shipping option. Tracked and Tracked & Protected shipping include a tracking number — you'll receive it by email once your order ships and can follow its progress any time from your account page. Standard shipping does not include tracking. If you need to monitor your delivery, we recommend selecting a tracked option at checkout.

Because every skin is made to order, we can't accept returns for change of mind. However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we'll send a replacement at no cost. Just email us at info@shinyswipe.org with a photo within 14 days of delivery.
